Heaven is a reason to believe in God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you receive signs from Heaven? Do you ask for signs from God? The only reason I think is valid to ask God for a sign is if you need comfort and strength from the death of a loved one. Our Christian faith provides peace when a tragedy occurs to one of our loved ones, if cancer wins the battle, if an accident happens, if there is no place to turn for the answer of “why”. Heaven can bring a sense of calmness to a distraught person.
