Short Prayers

An aspiration is a short prayer meant to be memorized and repeated throughout your days. God should be the center of our lives and continually kept in our thoughts and minds. These examples of short prayers can deepen not only our prayer life, but also our relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.

Short prayers can be spoken while you’re going about your day. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, St. Paul tells us to ‘pray without ceasing.’ Keeping our focus on Jesus will lesson our worries and stress.

Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner! (The Jesus Prayer)
Blessed be God!
Jesus, Mary and Joseph pray for me!
My God, I love thee!
O Lord, increase my faith!
Dear Lord Jesus, grant them eternal rest!
Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Heart of Jesus, I put my trust in Thee(you)!
Jesus I trust in You!
Teach me, O Lord, to do Thy Will, for Thou art my God!
Jesus, my God, I love Thee (you) above all things!
Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!
My God and my all!
Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forevermore!
Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy (Your) kingdom come!
Savior of the world, have mercy on me.
We adore and praise You, most holy Lord Jesus Christ, because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.
Mary, most sorrowful, Mother of Christians, pray for us.
Thank you Jesus, Son of God!
